What is Strata Insurance?

Strata insurance is a mandatory policy designed to respond to range of events such as physical damage from burst pipes, to protection for councils of owners due to wrongful acts, or the strata from public liability claims from a third party slip or fall.

While strata insurance shares some similarities with standard home insurance, it also includes unique coverages specific to strata living, many of which are often misunderstood. Our goal is to help you clearly understand your obligations, simplify the insurance buying process and proactively manage risks so that your strata scheme is appropriately protected.

At Adapt, we bring owners, strata managers, and insurers together - ensuring everyone is on the same page, legal requirements are met, and your property and community are safeguarded.

What is covered in a Strata Property policy?

The Strata Title Act requires you to have Building and Public Liability insurance as essential cover.

In addition to this cover, a Strata policy can also provide insurance cover that is not included under a standard Home insurance policy as outlined below.
